The MS Astoria and MS Marco Polo are at serious risk of being scrapped. These sturdy, classic liners are up for auction as Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV), have gone into administration.

Available at bargain prices, prospective owners need to know how loyal the cross-section of passengers on these ships are. Dedicated passengers book these historic liners time-and-time again rather than the floating-Vegas tower blocks that are modern cruise ships.

Hosting sold-out cruises from UK ports, CMV attracted passengers who would book specifically for these vessels, not once but multiple times each year.

Buying these liners is an opportunity not to be missed but those in the market need to know just how many steadfast customers are waiting to book.

Sign the petition as an indication of your support to book on these ships to whoever purchases them at unbeatable prices.

The current estimated auction sale price for each ship is in the £3 million to £6 million range. Both ships are ready for operation right now.

Declaration of interest: We desperately don't want these liners to disappear. We were looking forward to a future of a great many cruises on them.

Love the smaller ships and CMV
Janet Belson 17.09.2020 at 14:07
Loved cruising on CMV ships always treated well and being smaller ships you get to meet so many different people. Staff always friendly and attentive.
Mats Andersson 17.09.2020 at 09:41
I hope Astoria will be saved.
Adrian T Swale-Jarman 16.09.2020 at 17:33
Such a shame if we lose these iconic vessels.

Two classic, endearing and historical ships, an absolute joy to sail on, and I would love to again. These two elegant ladies need to be saved, they are well loved and the cruises were selling well.

The Astor has to be my favourite, with the Astoria not far behind. Over 2 years spent on CMV ships so I am definitely suffering withdrawal symptoms !!
Good luck to the old CMV management team in putting together a new, but similar, cruise line.

Love this shop. She’s worth saving.

Marco Polo is a sturdy, classic ship. Please don’t scrap her.

Loved these ships many times for MP and all the way on the Astoria xxx
Eric Jones 13.09.2020 at 23:26
These two ships are irreplaceable treasures and I was so looking forward to our (now cancelled) bookings on them both. There is no way to replicate the experience on any other vessel, and they represent a unique opportunity for potential buyers. They are the very last liners afloat and, if they are lost, a segment of the industry will be lost with them.
Baucheron Mickael 13.09.2020 at 23:06
I love the Marco Polo, we were on board for our honeymoon. A true classic ship.
Patricia Yelland 13.09.2020 at 22:08

Valerie Allen 13.09.2020 at 19:03
First cruise in 2019, want to go again. X

I usually cruise on Marco Polo 3 times a year so I am missing her terribly. The ship has a very large fan base which represents a great marketing opportunity for somebody. I will not cruise on the mega size ships.
Ken Mealand 13.09.2020 at 16:42
I would dearly love to add to my 34 cruises on the beautiful Marco Polo, a real ocean going liner. For me Marco Polo is more iconic than Queen Elizabeth 2.
Louella Fernandes 13.09.2020 at 13:28
Please ... Let's together work for this
Margaret Reeves 13.09.2020 at 13:23

Please save these ships - there’s a lot of sailing to be done in them yet.
Suzanne Jones 13.09.2020 at 12:23
The Astoria and Marco Polo cannot be scrapped. It would be a tragedy. I have had some wonderful cruises in the past. They must be saved.
Suzanne Jones 13.09.2020 at 12:21
Please save the Marco Polo. I have had some wonderful cruises on her and would sail on her again if I could.
Please save her sister- the ship Astoria too.
You must not scrap these 2 wonderful little ships.

These two ships are just to beautiful to get rid off. The history and character of them is just historical.
Smaller ships are needed not these whacking massive monstroty ships,.

Marco Polo shall be saved as she is the last running atlantic liner from the 1960ies, a real beauty that would be a wonderful museum ship.

Macro polo has always been the lovely home for us, the Burmese seamen. It’s a wonderful ship that we always look forward to work. Started with 5 burmese men at docking, now we’re 400 crew strong, working with CMV as well as Marcopolo. We consider this beautiful place as home, as we started our first seamen career at Marco polo. We love Marco Polo, our home!
Save our Marcopolo ????

We had a great cruise on the Marco Polo in 2018 and were looking forward to our cruise on the Marco Polo this year. We would book her again
Lynne Ryan 13.09.2020 at 00:37
Put simply the Marco Polo gave me an opportunity to see parts of the world I only dreamed of. Crew became friends, and the Marco Polo took her place in my heart. She is too important to so many to become scrap metal.
Joanne Evans 12.09.2020 at 23:59
Please save these beautiful, wonderful ships. We want to enjoy sailing on them for many years to come. Thank you.
Gordon Coventry 12.09.2020 at 23:48
Please don't lose thse elegant ships, my wife and i certainly will cruise on them both again whatever company buys them,
Patricia Hayes 12.09.2020 at 23:32
I enjoyed a wonderful cruise on the MS Marco Polo to Canada in the Fall and would hate to see her scrapped ! She has history and I would rather sail on a smaller ship than these tower blocks !
Sylvia Frye 12.09.2020 at 23:14
I have taken numerous cruises on these ships and love them . I will one of the first in line if the opportunity arises to travel on them again.
Ruth Sharville 12.09.2020 at 22:43
We look forward to sailing on our favourite cruise ship Marco Polo again....please make this happen for us.
Sandra Earle-Payne 12.09.2020 at 21:58
Real classic ships that offered wonderful itineraries at affordable prices and offered fantastic service from wonderful crews. I really hope to sail on these iconic ships again in the future.
Susan Humphrey 12.09.2020 at 21:00
In short CMV best cruise line ever. Large ships are not suitable for everyone. CMV are family, best crew and best routes.
Kathy Lashchuk 12.09.2020 at 20:52
we just sailed on Astoria for the first time this past February and loved her! She is 72 years old and my favorite ship! I stopped cruising years ago when the cruiseships got too big. Astoria came to Mexico to do 3 sailings and my brothers and I jumped at that chance to sail on her!! I would travel all the way to Europe to sail on Astoria again or to sail on the Marco Polo!
Heather Vipond 12.09.2020 at 20:49
We have sailed on Marco Polo many times and would love to do in the future. It is a small friendly ship, great for watching wild life. Please let us sail on small older ships!
Sy Lewis 12.09.2020 at 20:48
Would book on Astoria & Marco Polo in a heart beat..both great small ships...not noisy overcrowded Tenement Block resort.
